Family Engagement
Parental and family involvement in children's education significantly enhances their academic performance, health, and social skills, while reducing unhealthy behaviors and emotional distress. Schools and families working together can further support students by fostering connectedness and reinforcing skills learned at school (CDC, 2022). Family engagement refers to the active involvement of families in supporting and enhancing their children's social, emotional, and academic development, which positively influences their well-being and school success.
