We are incredibly grateful to the many people who came together to make this project a reality.

We owe a debt of gratitude to all the school mental health clinicians, school and district leaders, school family leaders, educators, counselors, stakeholder advisory board, and countless others.

Our work was supported through a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Project Program Award.

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is an independent research institute funding studies engaging patients and stakeholders throughout, to determine optimal healthcare solutions tailored to individual needs. Emphasizing patient and stakeholder involvement in research planning, conduct, and dissemination, PCORI aims to accelerate the adoption of research outcomes into healthcare practices, while advocating for patient-centered approaches in broader research initiatives.

Community advisory board

The Community Advisory Board guides the Partnering for Student Wellness Project. The board is comprised of youth/family advocates, family members, mental health system representatives, department of education representatives, researchers, and parents and staff from participating schools in SC and MD. The board serves to ensure that the activities of the project were appropriate for and sensitive to the needs of the youth, families, and schools participating in the project. The board was active in all phases of the study, including planning, implementation, data collection, and dissemination of research findings.
